Actor Rashmi Desai, better known as ‘Tapasya’ of ‘Uttaran’ says that the character has made her a rude person in real life. She says playing this character has made her emotionally disturbed and she often overreacts on mundane matters.
Rashmi plans to quit the show for another reason as well. The newly married lass wants to make a fresh foray into her marital heaven with co-actor and husband Nandish Sandhu, who plays ‘Veer’ in the serial. Hence, Rashmi has decided to go for a two and a half month sabbatical. You will see her last episode at the end of this week.
Interestingly, Uttaran has proved quite lucky for the Rashmi, a former small time Bhojpuri actress. The serial also made her grab various television awards. The character of Tapasya, the lead vamp of the show started getting on Rashmi’s nerves and she found herself getting hyper and rude with her staff.
However, her mother helped her in staying normal. She also says that she can’t switch her emotions as fast as Tapasya did in the show. The young couple, Rashmi and Nandish will very soon have a traditional Hindu style wedding ceremony. Our best wishes to them!
